Armadeus Davidson

Chief Executive Officer

Armadeus Davidson founded Medic Armadeus LLC in 2020, and later went on to start Medic Solutions LLC in 2023. With over 25 years of experience in rescue, firefighting, prehospital medicine, tactical law enforcement, war zone operations, humanitarian and disaster response, Armadeus decided to place his unique experiences in motion to provide the highest quality education for clients and organizations around the world.

Dr. Effat Jabeen

MD

International Operations Medical Program Director

Dr. Jabeen is a board certified internist and hospitalist in the United States and the Medic Solutions Medical Program Director.

Dr. Jabeen brings a wealth of knowledge to our program as a physician, educator and humanitarian. She speaks English, Urdu, Punjabi and Hindi languages and has worked on projects throughout the world.

Erik Pokora

Deployment Operations Director

Erik Pokora began his clinical career as a Navy Corpsman attached to the United States Marine Corps. In addition to his military and civilian experience, Erik has since worked as a paramedic in humanitarian and war zone operations for over a decade. Austere work settings is where Erik has thrived and he brings specialized skillsets to complex evacuation scenarios.

Erik is also a registered nurse, certified flight nurse, flight paramedic and Medic Solutions Operations Director.

Trish Brown BS, CP

Administrative & Clinical Services

Trish Brown is a United States Navy Veteran and former paralegal for the Washington State Attorney General. Trish holds degrees in law and health sciences and is a critical member of the administrative and student support team.

Ben Dafilou

Chief Financial Officer, Clinical Educator

Ben has been an EMT since 2010 and a Mobile Intensive Care Paramedic since 2019. Ben has a BS in Biology from Rowan University is passionate about education and the delivery of high quality clinical care in all hazard environments. Ben is also the Executive Director of Paramedics for the Advancement of New Jersey EMS (PANJEMS) and is active within the state’s legislature. He currently works as a flight and ground paramedic.

Marc Burdick

CCP-C, NRP

Special Projects Manager, Clinical Educator

Marc has worked in EMS for thirty-five years in a wide range of roles and experience across multiple States including Colorado, California, Vermont and Massachusetts. His expertise includes search and rescue, ski patroller, educator, public health, and EMS Leader and Director. Marc is a undeniable presence for agencies when developing quality management programs, wilderness and austere medicine, critical care paramedicine, process improvement, patient engagement, EMS data and integration, research-based practice and advocacy. Marc is the critical care paramedic coordinator at Northern Berkshire EMS (MA) where he is also an active paramedic and is also a ALS Ski Patroller at Stratton Mountain and Stratton Mountain Rescue. 


Erik Hardy

Senior Instructor

Erik is a devoted educator, curriculum developer, and skilled clinician that brings almost 30 years of prehospital, emergency, critical care and flight experience to the team.  As a nurse in the US Navy he has had multiple opportunities to support a wide variety of humanitarian, disaster, and tactical operations in the austere medical environment.  This combination of skills  makes Erik an adept educator able to teach to a wide diversity of skill levels and environments.

AJ Gimpelson

TP-C, FP-C

Senior Instructor

AJ is a s a dedicated Tactical Paramedic and accomplished Paramedic Instructor and a NAEMT Authorized Faculty Instructor with over 13 years of experience in providing advanced life support, critical care transport, and emergency response in diverse and high-pressure environments. With extensive experience in front-line tactical medicine, AJ has served as Course Coordinator and Lead Instructor in Ukraine, where he trained law enforcement and military personnel in trauma resuscitation and casualty care. His international expertise spans countries such as Djibouti, Burkina Faso, and Uganda, where he has developed and led advanced tactical medic training programs. AJ brings a wealth of knowledge in tactical medicine in addition to critical care aviation medicine and traditional civilian medicine.

Samuel Leopardo

Lead Instructor

Samuel Leopardo is a paramedic with a vast knowledge base in critical care transportations. His most recent experience includes working 911 in Pierce County, and critical care out of Pierce County, Thurston County, and surrounding WA Counties. He continues to work and learn as a clinician while raising twin boys.

Rodney Dippel

FP-C

Lead Instructor

Rodney Dippel is a critical care flight paramedic, retired US Army Flight Paramedic, with experience in both Combat and Civilian operations, stateside and abroad. Rodney teaches for the US Army School of Aviation Medicine in Fort Rucker Alabama, while also serving the local community as a critical care paramedic.

Leo Barahona

NRP

Lead Instructor

Leo Barahona is an Air Force veteran that started his EMS career in 1999. As a paramedic he worked for the city of Schertz EMS, where he helped start the Schertz Tactical Medic program. He served for seven years on the Guadalupe County S.W.A.T. team and two years, concurrently, with Schertz PD S.W.A.T.

Leo also worked as a disaster response coordinator and responded to hurricanes, fires, and outbreaks. He was also part of a humanitarian aid team that provided medical care in Haiti in 2016. In 1995, Leo received the Humanitarian Services Medal for his response during the Oklahoma City Bombing. He also deployed to Ukraine and managed multi-national emergency response crews as they transported wounded combatants from casualty collection points near the fighting line in the Zaporizhzhia Oblast to military hospitals in Pokrovs’ke, Novomykolaivka, and the city of Zaporizhzhia.

In 2016 Leo become a civilian training officer at UT Health San Antonio for the San Antonio Fire Department. Two years later he would go on to become the lead paramedic instructor in San Antonio for the National EMS Academy.

Leo received his B.S. in Emergency Health Sciences from UT Health San Antonio and is currently working on an M.S. in Emergency and Disaster Management from Saint Leo University in Saint Leo, Florida.
